NextGen3: Traveling at the Speed of Life, an education program sponsored by the nonprofit LIFE Foundation. This DVD and Web-based program is designed to help educators teach high-school students about the basics of insurance and financial planning. NextGen3 brings a real-world context to these important topics. The program components cover five areas: introduction to risk and insurance, life insurance, health insurance, disability insurance and financial planning basics. The NextGen3 DVD and the NextGen3.org web site share many core elements. For instance, the Educator’s Guide, Student Workbook and videos can be found in both places. That said, for the best user experience, we recommend that educators incorporate both the DVD and web site into their teaching strategies. For instance, videos will play best off of the DVD. Nextgen3.org contains various elements that can only be found on the web site such as interactive games, quizzes, and an Artificial Intelligence engine that allows students to get real-time answers to their insurance- related questions.

This video, an account of the lives of a group of young people born with facial differences, will help you teach your students to appreciate differences.
Meet a group of courageous and creative young people, the Inner Faces, who were born with craniofacial differences. Face: A Portrait is a documentary portraying their participation in the creation and production of an off-Broadway theater piece that is also the story of their lives.
Use this moving documentary to help your students look at their own self-doubts, their own feelings of being imperfect or blemished. Compare their feelings to those of the Inner Faces Players to find that there is more similarity in difference than we imagine.
In teaching diversity – that facial anomalies are just another difference -- we can change the atmosphere from one of teasing and exclusion to one of empathy and inclusion.
